Reddit has finally developed its own official apps and started its closed beta testing phase on Thursday. Applications for the beta have opened in December, but remained less talked since only a few thousand candidates have been selected to take part in the test. iOS version of the apps will be introduced soon.

Reddit works for some people aiming to adopt workable changes considering the effects. It also aims to move in a rhythm of constant improvement. However, approaching towards success in launching the apps, Steve Huffman, the Reddit CEO has appreciated the users' patience during modernization. His acclamation has been expressed through a long post announcing the test in its website, reports The Verge.

9to5google and Android Police both have tried the apps and posted a number of screenshots showing the app's blue/white (day) and black (night) interface. However, both of them have agreed to the facts that unlike other software and apps, beta testing still suffers from bugs and suggested inclusion of more features, reports Engadget.

Users usually rely on third party applications like Reddit is Fun, Baconreader, and Slide. Though the third party apps are compatible with mobile browsers, lots of hiccups and difficulties have led the users to demand for a mobile optimized app.

The users have to face much more difficulties while Reddit goes through changes. Introduction of an official Reddit app is expected to make any such transition smoother, according to a report published in Android Authority.

However, the opposite scenario may also become true. The doubt arises since many twitter users have been reported to eschew the official app in favor of more powerful third party creations. Reddit's official app may appear as a 'go to choice' app depending on nature of offered features unlike Facebook's app.

Huffman hasn't disclosed the probable schedule for making the official Reddit to get public. Meanwhile, users are allowed to use the third party Reddit as earlier. The fate of Alien Blue, Reddit's official iOS app since 2014, remains unclear too.

Huffman's post appears to be an attempt for cleaning up Reddit's muddy slate. His statement depicts that Reddit's potentials have not yet been fully realized and expects more changing throughout 2016. However, his reitaration on further development and modernization echo the same made by the official Reddit volunteers.

The third party Reddit app has encountered lots of hiccups whenever the application adopts changes. To overcome the hassle, users have been demanding for introducing its own official app and the demand is going to be met shortly. Reddit announces to initiate to testing its official app of Thursday.  The CEO of Reddit hasn't disclosed the schedule for making the application available to public.
