"I don't really want to play for anybody," said Metta World Peace in an interview with ESPN Los Angeles.

He said that he could play for the Clippers, or even go shoot hoops on the other side of the world - in China.

World Peace, previously known as Ron Artest before legally changing his name in September 2011, named his options after being amnestied by the Los Angeles Lakers. The basketball player has been playing for the NBA team since 2009. He started playing professionally in 199.

"I don't want to go anywhere. I want to go to China, or coach or play arena football," he said.

The amnesty clause of the National Basketball Association stipulates that teams may terminate a basketball players contract under specific conditions. Metta World Peace's estimated US$14 million contract with the Los Angeles Lakers was officially amnestied on July 11.

"We thank Metta for all his contributions and wish him the best of luck in the future," said the Los Angeles Lakers regarding World Peace's release.

Analsysts say that World Peace and previously amnestied Dwight Howard are victims of the new collective bargaining agreementin the NBA. Investments aren't expected to return fruitfully, especially World Peace's multimillion dollar contract, they said
