'Daredevil' Premiere in Jan. 2016; Marvel CCO Talks Plans for Season 2, Stephen Rider's New Character Revealed

A new actor joins the cast of "Daredevil" Season 2 as the newest series regular to play the character of the villain's friend and a district attorney. Meanwhile, the chief creative officer of Marvel revealed their plans about the show's forthcoming season. Elsewhere, an actor teased the possible air date of the superhero series. 

Stephen Rider is the newest series regular of "Daredevil" Season 2. Rider will be playing the character of Blake Tower, a District Attorney and The Punisher's friend. Aside that, Marvel CCO Joe Quesada shared his plans about the upcoming season of the show. Charlie Cox also teased the fans about the possible premiere date.

Rider officially joins the "Daredevil" Season 2 as a series regular and according to Deadline, Rider will be portraying the character of Blake Tower, The Punisher's new friend. Aside from that, Tower is a Districty Attorney for New York City.

Apart from that, Joe Quesada, Marvel Chief Creative Officer discussed their plans with IGN for "Daredevil" Season 2. Quesada stated, "I think we'd love to see something happen, but it's way too soon to tell, and we don't necessarily like to discuss which metrics we use to decide these things. But what I can tell you is anyone who is a hardcore Punisher fan is going to be blown away and incredibly satisfied by Bernthal's take on Frank Castle. It's one of those cases where it's the character from the pages come to life."

On the other hand, Charlie Cox teased the possible release date of the forthcoming season of "Daredevil" is in January 2106. Cox also revealed that the production crew already began filming season 2 this year, as reported by Yibada.

"Daredevil" Season 2 is set to premiere around January 2016 exclusively on Netflix. "Daredevil" is an American web TV series created by Drew Goddard based on a Marvel Comics character under the same name.
