"Daredevil" season 2 News: Stephen Rider officially joins cast; Charlie Cox reveals premiere date

A new actor will be joining the cast of 'Daredevil' Season 2. Also, Stick is set to make an appearance together with The Punisher and Elektra. Meanwhile, actor Charlie Cox reveals some details about the show's premiere date.

According to Christian Today, Stephen Rider joins the cast of 'Daredevil' Season 2 to play the character of Blake Tower. Blake is a district attorney in New York City and will help Daredevil in his journey bring down crime in the city.

Deadline reports that Scott Glenn will return in the second season of "Daredevil." Stick played Scott Glenn will be making an appearance in three episodes. Apparently, he suddenly enters the life of Daredevil right when he doesn't need him. Stick is known to be Matt Murdock's mentor who is responsible for training young Matt and then abandoning him. He returns for a mission that Matt doesn't want to be part of.

On a side note, Charlie Cox who takes the role of Matt Murdock told Youth Health Mag, "It'll be the same timeline as the last show, so 'Daredevil' Season 2 will come out about this time next year."

Cox adds saying, "Again I'm imagining all this, but they'll probably do Iron Fist or Luke Cage at the same time, followed by the 1st half of 2016 and then maybe the Defenders in the 2nd half of 2016 or the beginning of 2017."

Stephen Rider is the newest cast member of 'Daredevil' Season 2, he will be playing the character of Blake Tower. Moreover, Charlie Cox spills some details about the show's release date which may be in the latter part of 2016 or early 2017.

The cast and crew will begin working on the production of 'Daredevil' Season 2 later this year. As of now, there is still no official release for the 2nd season of 'Daredevil'. However, it is expected to be available on Netflix in 2016.
