Gladstone Investment Corporation employed a new Managing Director for its Chicago office.  Peter Kotz, who has more than 18 years of experience in investment banking, private equity and the futures industry, joined the Gladstone's management team.

Kotz will be in charge for structuring, managing and originating the company's new investment. He is also expected to contribute in widening Gladstone's marketing initiatives.

Gladstone, which is an investment company, tries to find investment prospects in mezzanine debt, common and preferred stocks as well as subordinated debts. It also guarantees to buy common stock of small and medium businesses in eventualities of buyouts and recapitalization.

Mr. Kotz earned his MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He also graduated with honors.

He was previously the President and member of the board of Chicago Private Equity Network. Most recently, he was connected with Gridiron Capital LLC. He worked there as Principal for five years.
