Xiaomi to Launch Android Smartwatch Together with Mi Pad 2 and Redmi Note 2 Pro on November 24

Xiaomi will be launching its first ever Android Smartwatch and are were talks that it will be unveiled alongside Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro. These Chinese tech giant's devices are believed to hit the market on November 24.

International Business Times reported that Xiaomi will be holding a special event in a few days that might lead to the unveiling of three new devices, including the company's budget friendly smartwatch which reportedly carries the name Mi Watch. Apart from the launch date and possible name of the Smartwatch, there are no further details such as the device's specs, price and software information that were provided.

However Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 that will be unveiled together with the Mi Watch is expected to boasts a slim design profile and a brushed metal body of a 7.9-inch display with 2,048x1,536p resolution. This handset will run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop based MIUI and might be engineered with an Intel based processor. The upcoming device by Xiaomi is expected to be packed with a 2GB RAM and 1 GB built-in storage.

On the other hand, Tech2 provides some of the possible specs that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro might carry. This device will come with a metal built and a fingerprint scanner. It might sport a 5.5-inch 1080p display, and be available in two variants - one with 2GB RAM and 16GB onboard storage while the other with 3GB RAM and 32GB in-built storage.

Under the chassis, it will be engineered with a Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core SoC and packed with a 13-megapixel rear-facing snapper and 5-megapixel front-facing camera. This smartphone will run on Xiaomi MIUI 7 operating system.

As for the price, the 2 GB RAM model is likely to be priced at 1,099 Yuan (approximately Rs 11,300), and the 3GB RAM variant at 1,499 Yuan (approx. Rs 15,500).

The upcoming Xiaomi Mi Watch will join the company's roster wearable devices which include the Mi Band and the Mi Band 2. Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 and Redmi Note 2 Pro on the other hand will be an addition to its notable lineup of smartphones and tablets which are already considered as great competitors in the tech arena.
