Project CARS New Patch Improves Oculus RIft Settings, Online Issues; Japanese Car DLC With 6 New Vehicles Available Now

Project CARS Patch 6.0 for PC has gone live bringing dozens of bug fixes including Online issues, Controls, Tracks, Vehicles, Physics & AI, GUI & HUD, and particularly to the Oculus Rift. The developer has also announced that the Japanese Car Pack requested by the fans are now available including six new Japanese vehicles.

The Patch 6.0 brings fixed for Bentley Continental GT3, Ruf CTR3 SMS-R, Toyota GT86 Rocket Bunny, but tons of improvements are devoted to Oculus Rift, primarily to improve the HUD position/rotation/scaling editor and the custom VR settings system of the car.The full patch notes of Project CARS' Patch 6 can be found at the Project CARS forum page.

The patch is now available for PC and International Business Times reported that the PS4 and Xbox One version of the patch will arrive soon.

In addition to the game's brand new patch, Slightly Mad Studios along with Bandai Namco has announced the fan requested release of the Japanese Car Pack which includes six new Japanese vehicles aimed at pure speed, notes Game Zone. The said pack contains the following:

  • 1999 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI TME
  • 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX FQ-360
  • 2012 Toyota GT86 / Toyota 86
  • 2015 Scion FR-S Rocket Bunny Edition
  • 2015 Toyota GT-86 Rocket Bunny GT Edition
  • 2014 Toyota TS040 Hybrid

With the goal of realistic driving simulation, the developer and publisher of Project CARS promise an up-to-date and most critical content as well as allow racing sim players to choose the cars they want and on the tracks they choose.  They also promise continual Feature Updates by listening to the community, exciting Free Cars and beautiful Community-created Liveries, and many more.

Project CARS is self-published by Slightly Mad Studios and distributed by Bandai Namco Games released on May 7, 2015 for PS4, Xbox one, and PC.Also, Project CARS 2 is confirmed to be in development for a possible 2016 release.
