Person of Interest 13-Ep. Season 5 The Last In Series, Confirms CBS; Fan Petition To Save Show Ongoing

Person of Interest Season 5 is confirmed to be the final season for the hit CBS series. But viewers need not despair, the 13 episode sci-fi crime drama series supporters organized a petition online for other networks to continue the show. The petition is addressed to Netflix, NBC, Fox, and Warner Brother for the giant companies to pick up the series. Finale season will explain the reason why The Machine was created.

The unlikely duo of Ex-CIA agent John Reese (Jim Caviezel) and billionaire Harold Finch (Michael Emerson) will be back for the most dramatic and intense season of Person of Interest. Series producer Chris Fischer guaranteed that they saved the best for last - finale season, Christian Post reported. Despite the shortened Season 5 as opposed to regular 24 episode series, the storyline will be completed with a maintained pacing.

While production is ongoing for Person of Interest Season 5, saddened fans of the show did not waste time to atleast try to save their favorite show. Kaily Russell created an online petition at change.org for other networks to take the show and continue airing it. The Save Person of Interest garnered 14,351 supporters out of 15,000 required signatures.

As what to expect for Season 5, Realty Today shared that the upcoming season will revolve around the relationship between The Machine and its creator Finch. In the previous season, the Samaritan has permanently damaged The Machine and presently needed to be rebooted. Finch will rekindle his "fatherly" instincts to The Machine as he and expert hacker Root (Amy Acker) fix it.

Reese will remind Finch on the origins of The Machine and convince him to believe to the cause again. The season will highlight the friendship of Reese and Finch, and The Machine's broken state will strengthen it. Apart from the friendship angle, viewers can anticipate for more action and blood pumping scenes as they fight the Samaritan.

Person of Interest Season 5 will air sometime in midseason of 2016 at CBS. The series was created for television by Jonathan Nolan and Denise Thé is the executive producer for the coming fifth season.
