Google's former head of media platforms businesses for independent agencies and advertisers Chip Scovic was announced as TubeMogul's new chief revenue officer. The company also named a new general counsel and Vice-President of operations and customer success. Eric Deeds and Paul Joachim will fill the roles respectively.

TubeMogul, based in Emeryville, California, is an online video marketing business. The company was backed by SingTel Innov8, Cross Creek Capital, Foundation Capital, Trinity Ventures, and Digital Advertising Consortium.

The company has hired over 75 new employees since the year started. TubeMogul predicts that it will double in headcount by the time the year ends.

Chip Scovic have been in the industry for a decade, serving at both the industries of advertising and technology. Scovic's previous works include Google, DoubleClick, and Yahoo! Video.

"I have watched TubeMogul's tremendous growth among brand advertisers and their agencies from the sidelines and am excited to now be a part of it," said Scovic. "In an industry still dominated by analog methods for buying and delivering ads, TubeMogul's platform clients are logging in every day and adjusting media strategy based on real-time data - that's virtually unheard of," he added.
