Contrary to previous reports that LG is releasing the Android 6.0 Marshmallow to its flagship devices, analysts believe there will be no Marshmallow upgrade happening to G4, G3 and G2 for now. Since the tech titan and its partner mobile carriers in the United States have just released Android security updates, new reports tell Android 6.0 update to LG's flagship devices will happen at the tail-end of 2015.

LG has been reported in the mobile tech department to be jumping off straight to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, skipping the final Lollipop version but there has not been an official word from the company. According to tech analysts, the Marshmallow software is not coming to G4, G3 and G2 later this month as it is slated to debut to some select phones.

Instead, LG mobile phone owners will have to wait for December 2015 before the South Korean giant to release the next Android update since it has just released updates last August and early this month. While G4, G3, and G2 are stuck with Android 5.1 Lollipop, some mid-range smartphones have already received its final version.

Verizon has already rolled out the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop to its G Vista units, while AT&T and Sprint have done the same update to its G Flex 2 units as well.

Older reports from last month have identified already that Android 6.0 Marshmallow is up this year, shortly after it debuts.

In another report though, LG's flagship devices also are rumored bound for Android Lollipop's final software version. This report has to be taken with a pinch of salt since the firm has not officially spoken yet regarding the news.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow is slated to debut out of the box on future releases of HTC One A9, LG-Google Nexus 5X (Nexus 5 2015), Huawei-Google Nexus 6P (Nexus 6 2015), rumored LG G4 Pro, and Sony Xperia M5, among others.

As per revelation of the third developer preview, this major Android update will bring a new battery saver, custom Chrome tabs, improved app permissions, app links, better status bar, fingerprint scanner and USB Type-C support, and the list goes on.

App links will enable users to be redirected to a link's site by just clicking it. Custom Chrome tabs will track site visits. It also has more options for color, themes, fonts, and more.

The apps permission has been improved to become more convenient for users. It has more controls to enable

A battery saver called Doze is the new addition to Android expected to manage wisely battery usage of a device. Doze automatically turns on whenever necessary. It will terminate apps running in the background and idle ones whenever unintentionally opened.

The app drawer now has a search bar to easily locate apps, games, files, etc. stored in the phone and launch them. The scroll bar is also back on the drawer.
