Earlier reports point out that LG G4, G3 and G2 devices are receiving the much-anticipated Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update anytime this month but some sources debunked the possibility. However, the latest Lollipop update for LG's flagship devices is expected to come before the year 2015 ends.

Although rumored to skip Android 5.1.1 Lollipop when Android M arrives, reports say sources are firm that G4, G3 and G2 owners will still experience the rumored final update of Lollipop. G4 and G2 currently run the 5.1 version of Lollipop across the board, while G3 is still stuck with the 5.0.2 version.

Since G4 has preinstalled Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, it is the most possible device to hit the next update first among LG handsets as much as it is expected to receive the Android M first as well. Despite the slow updates, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop is most possible to G4 is bugs and errors will hit the device with 5.1.

While stuck with Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, reports believe that the device is already on the verge of running the 5.1 version as well since its predecessor already has it. If G4 will kick off the 5.1.1 device, a report analyzes that G3 might also head straight to 5.1.1 update.

Meanwhile, G2 looks fitter to have the 5.1.1 update since its operating system has gone ahead of its successor. It is uncertain as of now if G2 will also run 5.1.1 or skip the update as well. A photo leak earlier shows that G2's planned 5.1.1 update is "in progress."

Major mobile carriers in the US have not expressed or even hinted regarding the possible early rollout of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

Another report states that an update is coming up for LG devices to showcase new features like a Bluetooth button to the dial-pad screen. It will also come with notification scan, and priority mode for SMS and events. However, this report has not been identified whether it be 5.1.1 or 5.1.

Android 5.1.1 is still in its early stage of rollout to various devices. What is certain for now is that it will hit LG very soon before Android M steals the show.

According to some reports, LG is just "ironing kinks out" before it will announce the release "in not more than a month" from now.
