Serinda Swan of "Graceland" is joining "Chicago Fire," according to a new report by Deadline. The actress is reportedly playing the character of Brittany Baker, who is potentially going to be romantically linked to Taylor Kinney's character.

Swan's character is a graphic designer who is expected to be getting in the way of Lindsay and Severide. However, the character reportedly appears for only four episodes.

Some fans of the actress are worried if her new role in "Chicago Fire" will affect her part in "Graceland." According to CarterMatt, there is nothing to worry as this is only a temporary project for Swan. The website also suggested that fans should take this as good news because they will be able to see more of the actress in a different project.

While "Graceland" has not been renewed yet for a third season, recent news and updates suggest that the series will most likely return for a new season. Its season finale is scheduled to air tomorrow, September 10th.

Meanwhile, "Chicago Fire's" showrunner, Matt Olmstead hinted of a possible conflict between Severie and Lindsay. Olmstead told TVLine, "As we've established on the show, he (Severide) is prone to going off on his own and having a few cocktails when things don't go his way."

He also added that the event "might cause a problem with him and Lindsay. The thing we like about him and Lindsay is they're cut from the same cloth. They don't judge each other. No one's ragging on the other person for not being available. They're really similar."

"Chicago Fire's" new season premieres on Tuesday, September 23rd at 10/9c on NBC. Fans are looking forward to catch the pilot episode as they expect it to show who among the characters survived the explosion that was featured in the previous season.
