Florida Company Is Giving Away $1,100 to Listen to 24 Hours of Breakup Songs: Interested? Here’s What to Know

A breakup can be so painful, but a Florida company may have a way to help you get through it faster, and you can even earn some cash at the same time.

Florida Company Offers Reward Money Just For Listening to 24 Hours of Breakup Songs

According to USA Today, FinanceBuzz, a website that helps people make financial decisions, announced that it is looking for people to test its method of getting through a breakup faster.

The Delray Beach, Florida-based company is specifically looking for someone in the US who just got out of a relationship to listen to 24 hours of breakup songs in exchange for $1,100.

According to YouGov data, breakups tend to spike around Valentine's Day, with 11% of millennials admitting to ending relationships on February 14.

"Whether it's by Taylor, Olivia, Conan, or Lewis, we know a good breakup song can help heal the heart. Plus, we want to help heal someone's wallet at the same time," FinanceBuzz said.

Florida Company: Here's How to Apply

According to FinanceBuzz, the chosen candidate will help the company categorize and rate the songs based on whether or not they helped and help create the ultimate breakup song playlist. 

The songs will include everything from classic rock to contemporary artists. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, and the deadline to apply is at 12 a.m. ET on February 14.

FinanceBuzz said the winner will be contacted via email and will have two weeks to complete the assignment to receive $1,100.
