Who Is the Wealthiest Among the 2024 Presidential Candidates? Is It Joe Biden or Donald Trump?

Donald Trump

With regard to personal wealth, Donald Trump takes the lead. Citing Forbes' estimate from September last year, News Nation reported that Trump has a net worth of $2.6 billion.

According to Forbes, the former president has $640 million in cash and personal assets, $870 million in golf clubs and resorts, $690 million in New York City real estate, $190 million in real estate outside New York City, and $160 million in social media and brand businesses.

Dean Phillips

Dean Phillips, who takes the second spot, is reportedly one of the richest members of Congress. Citing an economic disclosure filing, Axios reported that Phillips' net worth is between $20.5 million and $70 million. Phillips was heir to his stepfather's Phillips Distilling empire.

Before his political career, he served as the company's president until he resigned in 2012. Phillips later ran the gelato maker Talenti and co-founded Penny's Coffee in the Twin Cities.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is richer than Joe Biden. Forbes estimated his net worth at around $15 million. According to the outlet, that sum includes the assets of his wife, actress Cheryl Hines, his shares in the Kennedy family's trusts, his real estate, and investments held in stock, private equity, and hedge funds.

Joe Biden

Forbes reported that Joe Biden's net worth is estimated to be around $10 million, up from $8 million when he took office. Aside from taking a government paycheck, the president reportedly earns money by sitting on real estate, such as his summer home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.

The 4,800-square-foot property is now worth an estimated $4.5 million, $1.7 million more than its original cost. According to Forbes, Biden owns two homes in Delaware worth an estimated $7 million combined.
