Are smartphones the new killing machine? Road accidents caused by not-so-smart phone users
The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced that deadly traffic accidents in the US increased 8.1% over the first six months of this year. The road regulator suggested smartphones and other driving distraction to be the largest cause of traffic fatalities.
Aerion and Airbus to Build New Supersonic Jet in 2021
American billionaire, Robert Bass, established Aerion in 2004. The company with engineering support from Airbus will formally launch the AS2 program next year. Currently, the Reno,based company is searching for manufacturing facility to start building its Aerion supersonic jet. This will become new supersonic jet after Concorde retirement in 2003.
EasyJet expected to announce £700 million of profit next week
London-based low-cost airline carrier, EasyJet is expected to post its highest annual profit to date next week as analysts estimated that increasing customers over the year will contribute greatly to the company.
Uber signs multi-year digital mapping deal with TomTom
Uber Technologies Inc. announced that it has signed a global multi-year deal with the Dutch company TomTom to provide maps and traffic data to Uber for use in its navigation for Uber drivers.
