U.S. media company Viacom Inc (VIAB.O) said it will undertake a restructuring, including cutting jobs, abandoning some acquired titles and reorganizing three of its domestic network groups into two new organizations, to drive growth.

Industry insiders told the Los Angeles Times that Paramount Pictures will be retiring the 35-millimeter film and will be distributing movies in the digital format.
Following its USD4.6 billion purchase of Lucasfilm in 2012, Walt Disney Co. has secured marketing and distribution rights over future Indiana Jones installments under an agreement with Paramount Pictures.
A memo obtained by Reuters revealed Paramount would be laying off 5% of its workers.
