The US Securities and Exchange Commission approved the takeover by IntercontinentalExchange of NYSE Euronext.
NYSE Euronext said that it would take over the London interbank offered rate (Libor) from the British Bankers' Association.
Intercontinental Exchange Inc and NYSE Euronext has officially merged into a $20 billion worth company after their respective shareholders unanimously approved the deal on Monday.
