Japanese aluminum buyers will mostly pay record high premiums of $420 per tonne over London Metal Exchange (LME) prices for October-December shipments, up 3-5 percent from the prior quarter, five sources directly involved in the talks said.

Japanese trading house Marubeni Corp announced on Friday that it had bought a 100-megawatt (MW) gas power facility in Tokyo and is also planning to add further 200 MW of local capacity in 2016.
Japan-based trading house Marubeni Corp sold its 30% interest in Australia-based Milmerran Power Station to a buyer in South Korea for under A$200 million ($179 million), according to a source familiar with the deal.
The Development Bank of Japan will acquire a 24.95% stake in the Gunfleet Sands Facility, a 172-megawatt offshore wind project located in England. DBJ will buy the stake from Marubeni Corp., which bought its holding originally for $329 million.
Japan’s Marubeni said that it will leave Gavilon’s energy arm from the proposed takeover deal.
Marubeni Corp. is in advanced discussions to takeover Gavilon's energy division at US$5.6 billion.
Bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals involving European, U.S. and Asian companies were reported.
