Santa Clara, US-based semiconductor chip maker Intel Corp shelled out $100 million to establish an innovation center in China to accelerate the innovation of smart equipment in the Asian country.

Sources told Bloomberg that early talks were on-going between Liberty Global and Intel Corp for a possible purchase of the chip maker's online pay-TV service.
Intel Corp. and Verizon Communications Inc are talking to about Intel's Web-TV.
Intel Corp was reportedly nearing an agreement to exit from its television service business with Verizon Communications Inc.
A report by information technology news site Techcrunch said multinational semiconductor chip maker Intel Corporation recently acquired security company Sensory Networks for USD20 million.
