The developers of the plug and play Broadcast Box, BoxCast, had received a US$250,000 investment from non-profit venture development firm JumpStart Inc.

The Broadcast Box from the Cleveland, OH based company would allow any individual with a camera to stream high definition live video into the cloud based service of BoxCast. From there, the video streamed can then be retrieved for later viewing.

The technology allows for the removal of cumbersome processes of data storage and integrity. With it, the information and video stored would be properly saved as well as easily retrieved regardless of one's location.

According to JumpStart Venture Partner Lee Poseidon, "BoxCast's low-cost, easy-to-use-but very high-quality-video broadcasting system is a potential game-changer for a variety of markets that cannot afford expensive recording equipment and crews. We are excited to be backing a promising team and technology that can grow and scale very quickly."
