At Gamescom, Electronic Arts has announced the release of the latest Sims franchise, The Sims 4: Get Together on December 8. EA's upcoming Sims game may have been delayed by a month, but some updates provided details which could make such extension necessary, as the graphics, design, and DLC that this expansion pack has to offer were revealed.

One of the greatest features of the game is its European-inspired world called Windenburg. The Sims 4's official website has recently posted a blog post which reveals how the fictional world was built and what is to be expected in the game. Two snapshots were posted; one showing an old town square with Tudor-inspired buildings and a lush forest planked by some Gothic ruins in the background, and one showing a modernized area with geometric structures which Tech Times describes to have a London, Paris or Amsterdam feel. Though Windenburg would not look exactly the same as the snapshots, such images should provide a visual guidance for the development team as they create the new world.

Game developer Maxis had worked hard for a quality concept would provide gamers the maximum satisfaction that they deserve. Senior Producer Lydia Pearson said that they loved seeing fan reactions to the news and tells that they followed all the fans' comments and discussions, according to Latin Post. Aside from the patch which featured the impressive world of Windenburg, the expansion pack contains additional features such as one that enables a player to create his own club, an additional new DJ and a new set of dancing moves.

Furthermore, Pearson explained that the one-month delay is due to the fact that the team had been working on the feedbacks which they received, for the improvement of the game. She pointed out that the comments have inspired them to work hard to make sure that the pack offers the best thing it possibly could. She said that such period of time is what Maxis needs to polish and add more depth to the game, for a "bigger, better, and cooler" experience, Gamespot reported.

More information on Sims 4: Get Together shall be announced early in November while in the meantime, fans may regularly check out Lydia Pearson's blog posts.
