"Chicago PD" Season 3 Episode 3 deals with the rising tension between Voight (Jason Beghe) and Lindsay's (Sophia Bush) mom, Bunny (guest star Markie Post). Titled, "Actual Physical Violence", the episode also features a dark secret hanging over Olinsky. Meanwhile, a man who is desperately looking for his missing daughter takes a drastic action to get the police to find her.

According to Christian Post, the previous episode wasemotional for most of the characters because it dealt with thedeath of an 8 year old boy. Also, Lindsay was seen moving back in with Voight which earned the strong disapproval of her mother.

Lindsay is caught in the middle between her mother and her mentor, Voight, who made her into the tough detective she has become after saving her from being a drug junkie. She asked that she be given some space and time to think over her confusing situation. However, Bunny refuses to leave her daughter alone.

The "Chicago PD" Season 3 Episode 3 synopsis posted on Cartermatt revealed that Commander Fischer (Kevin J. O'Connor) informed Voight that Bunny turned him to the cops. She has evidence to prove that Voight lied about witnessing a murder that he didn't actually see. Lindsay tries to talk her out of it, but the damage has already been done and a violent criminal was set free.

It looks like Voight's dark past is catching up with him. It could be remembered that Voight is originally from Chicago Fire where he posed as a dirty cop in an undercover operationto net in other cops and criminals. In this episode, Voight will face Bunny's accusations from a 2001 case involving his son.

Also in this episode, the "Chicago PD" desk will once again turn chaotic when a man takes Mouse as hostage in order to get the police to find her missing daughter reports TV Fanatic. Mouse gets his chance to shine as he bravely stands up to the distraught father. He easily gets him talking, and when the time comes, manages to disarm him before anyone has a chance to shoot.Olinsky finally tells his wife about his daughter but she unfortunately did not take it well as she asked him to leave.
