Oscars 2016 Early Predictions: Who will take home the coveted trophy?

That time of the year has come - the 2016 Oscar predictions are along the way. Talented Hollywood actors, directors and producers are vying to qualify for the prestigious award in different categories. Some of the top contenders for the trophy include Rachel McAdams, Kate Winslet, Julia Walters, Tom Hiddleston and Leonardo DiCaprio, just to name a few.

Independent UK shared their predictions of major films possibly competing for the 2016 Oscars. Although there are still more than four months more to wait for the awarding ceremonies, but fans are already abuzz about their bets.

Among the films chosen as contenders are: "Carol"; starring Cate Blanchett in the lead role; "The Revenant' with Leonardo DiCaprio, also tagged for the best actor award; "Joy", starring Jennifer Lawrence; "Steve Jobs", portrayed by Michael Fassbender; "Legend", a film starring Tom Hardy; and "In The Heart of Sea" with Chris Hemsworth.

The Toronto Film Festival was said to have highlighted the possible films vying for the 2016 Oscars. A few days earlier was the Telluride Film Festival that featured some of the big films aiming to get a shot of the said award, The Guardian featured.

Moreover, the frontrunners of the upcoming Academy Awards are being talked about as well as returning stars in the big screen who will showcase their amazing and untimely talents once more.

Franchise Herald shared in a feature their choices for one of the toughest award nominations of the Oscars - the Best Actress and Supporting Actress. A lot are being recognized as top contenders, among them Rachel McAdams, Cate Blanchett, Rooney Mara, Julie Walters and Jennifer Jason Leigh.

The 2016 Oscars Awards will be much bigger with all the great films competing this year. In addition, the actors who have given life to their roles are the best in their field as well.
