Through its online publication, Greylock Partners announced today that Jerry Chen is joining the company's roster of partners. Chen was the former vice president of product marketing and management frim VMware.

Chen also served at Accel Partners as an associate. Chen and another Greylock partner David Sze told another website that he "will leverage his experience at the large virtualization software company VMware to look for deals surrounding the next-generation of cloud platforms."

"We're entering a post-server world in which storage, networking and the application stack are all being disrupted in the enterprise and the data center," said Chen.
