Twitter has been widely known as one of the most popular social networking websites there is today and most stars, even politicians, use Twitter to connect with the public. However, comedian Lena Dunham is done with Twitter and decides to create a newsletter instead.

MSNBC reported that comedian Lena Dunham is no longer happy with the verbal abuse she has been receiving on Twitter from her followers. Although someone else is handling her account for her, she finally decided that she's done with social media. She believes that Twitter just wasn't a safe ground for her to be in. She and her partner in the creation of HBO's "Girls" Jenni Konner recently launched a newsletter publication in an attempt to avoid the violent responses that Dunham has been getting. The newsletter is called "Lenny Letter" containing columns, personal essays, interviews and the like about feminism, politics, health and others.

The newsletter's name "Lenny" is a combination of Lena and Jenni's name, according to an article from Vogue last July. Dunham has seen the need to create a forum for young women everywhere. The newsletter will be launched this fall and they can't wait to find out whether this could be a great den for this generation's opinions. Dunham has been giving out a preview for the main draw of the newsletter which is an interview with Hillary Clinton.

In this newsletter, Hillary Clinton provided some great anecdotes of her life before she became a public figure. Of course, there were political discussions in the said interview, including Clinton's views on handling student debt, the problem with racism and more, according to Entertainment News Online. It may appear as if the Lenny Letter is dedicated to Clinton and her campaign; however, that is untrue. Dunham and Konner still hit on feminism in the issue. They even have a column dedicated to female writers and artists who were not recognized due to being women in an industry which only regards men.

There is a lot more on feminism that will be tackled in Dunham's upcoming newsletter which will serve as an eye-opener to the public. For sure, Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner are out to make a statement about the realities of life in today's generation.
