The much awaited announcement of Kingdom Hearts 3 release date and other interesting details are yet anticipated to be revealed by Square Enix at the upcoming D23 Expo Japan in November. However, a new leak as to when the game has been tipped to fans this early from a leaked email forwarded by Amazon to a user revealing the game's change in schedule of release.  

Apparently, the release date for Kingdom Hearts 3 has been leaked by giant retailer Amazon via an e-mail to a user stating that the schedule of release for the game has been reset in early 2017.

The purported e-mail as reported by Segment Next reads:

We have received new release date information related to your pre-ordered video game in the order you placed on January 25, 2015 (Order# ***-*******-*******). The release date for the video game listed below has been changed by the publisher, and we want to provide you with a new delivery estimate based on the new release date:

"Kingdom Hearts 3 - Xbox One"
Estimated arrival date: January 02, 2017

Based on the listing of Amazon, Kingdom Hearts 3 placeholder release date indicated December 31, 2016. At the time of this writing, both Amazon and Square Enix have not made comments on the leak and it is best for the gamers to take it with a grain of salt.

As reported earlier, Square Enix had been teasing special surprises for KH3 fans at the D23 Expo in Japan this coming November 6-8 and a showcase of gameplay is very likely to happen as well as the official announcement on the game's release date.

So far, 3 of Disney worlds namely, Big Hero 6, Hercules, and Tangled are confirmed for Kingdom Hearts 3.  Other Disney worlds that are in talks within the gaming community are Brave, Frozen, and Wreck-it Ralph.

According to Neuro Gadget, Star Wars and Marvel worlds are rumored to be featured in the next iteration of the series. Tai Yasue, the co-director of Kingdom Hearts 3 dropped hints that these rumors could have a good chance of happening since these two franchises also belong to Disney Entertainment.

Kingdom Hearts 3 developed and published by Square Enix is an upcoming action RPG set to hit PS4, and Xbox One consoles on a yet to be confirmed release date.
