The "Harry Potter" movie series star Emma Watson talks about the new-fangled twist on the live-action "Beauty and the Beast" movie which she stars as the female lead. She had the chance to spill some beans while promoting her new movie "Regression."

Watson who will portray Disney Princess Belle in the live-action "Beauty and the Beast" shares that she enjoys filming the Disney classic and be able to sing and dance for a movie which she has not able to do in her previous roles. She shares that she will sing three new songs written by Allan Menken which will be featured in the musical. Menken is also the one behind the music of other classic animated Disney movies like "Aladdin" and "The Little Mermaid."

Watson's co-star, Luke Evans will play the role of Gaston and commends the young actress saying that she is perfect to play the character. He adds that Watson embodies the 21st century Belle to inspire young girls. To become the bookworm and village bad-ass Belle, the British activist also enrolled to dancing and horse-riding lessons.

Watson also talks a little about the plot and she spills that the live-action "Beauty and the Beast" is slightly different from the animated "Beauty and the Beast." The UN Ambassador states: "It goes a lot deeper into things; it's just much more layered. It tells parts of the story that perhaps were missing in the animation because it was shorter, so that's really exciting."

As she talks about her iconic role as "Harry Potter's" Hermione Granger, Watson stated that taking up Beauty's role felt like a nice completion of a circle in a way. She said that the film acts as a tool for her transition from starting in the film industry as a kid into playing woman, into womanhood and as an actress. She also said that it is very unusual and special to be able to play two of her personal heroines.

"Beauty and the Beast live action movie is slated for release on March 17, 2017. The film will also star Dan Stevens who will play the role of the Beast, who is also known as Prince Adams.
