Clearlake acquires Inventus

Clearlake Capital Group bought Chicago-based Inventus today. No financial terms were disclosed. The investment firm led the group which included Cerca Group, a New York based private investment firm, and the management team of Inventus. VRA Partners were the chosen advisers of the sellers.

Inventus is a leading EDD (electronic data discovery) solutions company which serves law firms around the world, including Fortune 1000 companies and government agencies.

Clearlake's Behdad Eghbali and Prashant Mehrotra said that their company is "excited to partner with Inventus at this important time in the Company's growth trajectory. Inventus will remain in its Chicago office. Trevor Campion will also continue to be the company's Chief Executive Officer.
