"Once Upon A Time" Season 5 premiered on Sunday and things are a bit shaken up as Emma, the former savior, is not the Dark One. In the first episode, fans got to see how much power Emma has and the spoilers about Camelot and Merlin have been revealed.

According to Hollywood Life, "Once Upon A Time" kicked off with a flashback when Emma was still a kid back in 1989 in Minneapolis. Emma stole a candy bar from a woman and a British man, who is Merlin, came up to her saying, "When you do things you're not supposed to do, even if you're doing them for the right reasons, bad will happen." This was seen as an allusion that Emma will be sacrificing herself so that Regina will finally have her happy ending. The man also told Swan that she could remove the Excalibur from the stone but should not touch it.

In a report by Zap2it, King Arthur and his men were looking for the Excalibur in another land. When one of Arthur's men tried to pull the sword out, he evaporated. Arthur was able to pull the sword unscathed but the other half is missing, which is actually the dagger.

Emma was then seen in the Enchanted Forest and Rumpelstiltskin was eagerly waiting for her and offered her that he will guide her into becoming the Dark One. Emma wanted to resist but it was difficult. Hook, on the other hand, wanted to go to the Enchanted Forest in an attempt to find Emma and help her, International Business Times reported.

The gang, however, could not open a portal to the Enchanted Forest but the Sorcerer's Apprentice gave them a wand given to him by Merlin. However, someone wicked had to use the wand to make it work leaving them no choice but to go to Zelena. However, Zelena was able to escape from her cell and disappeared in a cloud of smoke but Regina was able to find her and was able to retrieve the wand.

Emma was also able to meet Merida and it was a rocky start as the Dark One's hallucinations of Rumpelstiltskin wants her to get the whisk from Merida. Fast forward to the highlights of the premiere, the group was able to get to Swan before she kills Merida. The gang takes Emma back to Granny's and the show time jumps to six weeks after the event. No one remembers anything except walking into Camelot then the Dark Swan appears saying, "You went to Camelot to get the darkness out of me. And you failed."

"Once Upon A Time" season 5 premiered on Sunday and it showed how Emma Swan transformed into the Dark One. She was controlled by hallucinations of Rumpelstiltskin and despite the attempts of her family and friends to change her back, they failed. Catch the next episode on ABC.
