A year after Facebook Inc's IPO, Wall Street remained slow in contrast to what Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg argues. Sandberg said that Facebook has been getting across-the-board improvement in its business.

Sandberg told Reuters Global Technology Summit on Wednesday that Facebook is in a better position than before the IPO. She added that from last year since the company went public, Facebook became stronger.

Facebook became the first US technology firm to debut with a value of than US$100 billion in May of last year. Its shares have lost almost 40% of their value since then.

Facebook has more than 1.1 billion users and is the Web's most popular destination for consumers and advertisers. However, the growth in the company's revenue has slowed sharply compared two years ago. Some investors fret that a new crop of mobile apps aimed at younger users that could decrease Facebook's hold on consumers.
