'Iron Man 4' is a planned follow-up to 2013's superhero film by Marvel starring Robert Downey Jr. in the titular role. The highly popular and successful actor is often compared to his on-screen superhero counterpart. The series' rejected old logos have also been shared by freelance creative director Fede Ponce.

According to Co.Design, newly released samples of rejected logos for the standalone cinematic series offer behind-the-scenes insight on its branding campaign. Fede Ponce, the freelance creative director responsible for several other big projects for Marvel, shared some of the alternatives that failed to make it to the big-screen.

He revealed, "We go through a lot of iterations and concepts when designing. For this particular case, I had read the script and was able to grasp what the director wanted to talk about in this movie. The movie in essence is about redemption, about being broken and being re-born. So the main title had all those elements in it."

The first standalone film premiered in 2008 starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Terrence Howard and Jeff Bridges. It is also considered as the very first installment in the newly formed Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) that would prove exceedingly favorable to the future of standalone film projects. It was the audience's introduction to a live-action adaptation of the transformation of master engineer and billionaire philanthropist Tony Stark to the technologically advanced superhero Iron Man.

It seems that Downey Jr.'s role in the MCU has turned him into the world's richest actor. According to the Daily Mail, Forbes named him the richest leading man in Hollywood for the third time after he pocketed $80 million from all his Marvel films - specifically as Iron Man in the latest release 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'.

Downey Jr.'s has been the recipient of several comparisons made between him and his on-screen counterpart Tony Stark a.k.a. Iron Man. One such comparison made by Movie Pilot stated that he embodies his character because of his real life charisma and confidence. He has also gone through a so-called "rebirth", making astounding career comebacks after his infamous battles with substance abuse and related misdemeanors.

Besides being the multi-millionaire that he is, he is also quite the philanthropist. The 50-year old actor has done his share of charity work with organizations such as Robin Hood, Stand Up To Cancer, Motion Picture and Television Fund Foundation, Entertainment Industry Foundation, and Communities in Schools. He is also known to raise millions of dollars to help fund several non-profit organizations for the execution of their projects and causes.

'Iron Man 4' is a planned action-adventure superhero film inspired by Marvel's comic book series of the same name. It is the sequel to 2013's release that earned $1.2 billion against a $200 million budget, according to Box Office Mojo. The third film received general positive reviews and was named the second highest-grossing film of that particular year.
