Denham Capital, a global private equity firm with focus on the energy sector, said on Tuesday that it has invested $100 million in seed capital to Endeavor Energy.  With this new venture, Denham Capital announced that it has named Sean Long as Endeavor Energy's new Chief Executive Officer. The partnership will produce a new firm that will invest on specific target businesses in the fields of thermal and hydroelectricity in Africa.

Sources say that the financial competency of Denham Capital enables Endeavor Energy to expand its processes across the entire continent of Africa. The new company will zero in on power projects in mid-to-late development stage within capacity short markets.

Endeavor Energy will be assigned to partner with African companies as the projects are continuing.

"We are delighted that Denham has chosen to partner with us in this effort to provide needed power generation to African countries. Denham's capital resources, experience and relationships throughout the global energy sector complement the Endeavor Energy team's development expertise," said Justin Long.
