By year end, billions of investor money is expected to be returned to SAC Capital Advisors' investors. This made a long list of hedge fund rivals become eager to feast on said redemptions.

SAC's rival Millennium Management owned by Israel Englander comes on top of the list as a possible investment alternative according to sources. Other hedge fund rivals include Balyasny Asset Management, Visium Asset Management and Citadel by Kenneth Griffin. These hedge funds feature multi-manager teams that were often mentioned to be candidates for some US$3 billion to US$4 billion leave from Steven A. Cohen's SAC Capital Advisors.

Some sources mentioned the US$1.1 billion company, Hutchin Hill. The company is run by NIel Chriss who was a former trader at SAC. The firm has similar strategies with Cohen's and is catering to new investors.

All five hedge fund companies refused to give statements or did not reply to requests for comments.
