Writer-producer Simon Kinberg revealed plans of bringing together the X-Men, 'Gambit' and 'Deadpool' all together in what could be an Avengers-like movie. Aside from planned cross-overs, Kinberg also talked about one of the movies where this could happen-'Deadpool' 2. Yet to be released, 'Deadpool' has already piqued the interest of moviegoers on what this "edgy antihero movie" has to offer. Kinberg says in an interview with Collider, he is already talking about the sequel even while making the 'Deadpool' movie.

Coming from Marvel comics, Kinberg says that Deadpool's first film adaptation is "hoped to be first of many." 20th Century Fox is and Kinberg will be working on "figuring out the sequel" before 'Deadpool' premieres.

According to Cinema Blend, the first 'Deadpool' appearance was in the 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' in 2009. While the movie was well-received, the incarnation of the badass hero by Ryan Reynolds wasn't. However, the 'Deadpool' movie trailer received an "overwhelmingly positive response."

'Deadpool' opens on February 4, 2016. Fox and Kinberg are on its franchise potential. While waiting for the premiere, fans and moviegoers can anticipate how 'Deadpool', 'X-Men' and 'Gambit' will interact with each other in the future movies.
