'London Fields', a dark thriller film based on the book of the same name, stars Amber Heard, Billy Bob Thornton, Jim Sturgess and Theo James. Its big-screen premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival seems to be troubled by behind-the-scenes dispute to which most of its cast and crew may be boycotting.

According to Coming Soon, the film released its first official clip featuring Heard as femme fatale Nicola Six. The film is said to be a noir-ish mystery thriller set in the distant dystopian future and follows the story of a clairvoyant who goes into several relationships knowing full well that one of the men she is dating may be her killer. It will also star Thornton as Samson Young - the terminally ill writer - as well as Jim Sturgess and Theo James.

Another report from the New York Times wrote that the big-screen adaptation of the 1989 novel of the same name will debut at the 2015 Toronto Film Festival this September 18. However, it had been hounded by issues of fierce rivalry between the film's director Matthew Cullen and its producer Chris Hanley. It was speculated that several of the big names attached to 'London Fields' may not appear to support the film during its screening at the TIFF due to disapproval of Hanley's treatment of Cullen.

According to Indie Wire, Hanley and his associates prepared their own version of the cut to be shown and Cullen claimed that this cut had not been overseen by him. The filmmaker insisted that Hanley's cut would "violate the spirit of the project" as well as provide a false rendition of his vision since it included elements not previously discussed such as 9/11 stock footage against pornography. Cullen has since taken the issue to court suing Hanley and his co-producer Jordan Gertner for "fraud and deceit".

'London Fields' is an upcoming murder-mystery thriller directed by Cullen and written by Roberta Hanley based on the best-selling novel of author Martin Amis. It was selected to be screened for the Toronto International Film Festical during its Special Presentations section. It is said to contain elements of deceit, infatuation and passion as well as violence.
