A new solution for software quality control and assurance, the Compass Profiler was unveiled by its manufacturer, Compass Quality Insight Inc. The software is designed to bridge the difference between the tools available in the current Quality Assurance sector. 

The company also announced that it was able to secure US$2 million from private equity furms such as Bain Capital Ventures and XSeed Capital. 

The specific niche that the company addresses is the lowered manufacturing times in software production. Thus, quality assurance professionals are required to ensure the level of quality at a shorter window of time available for the review and examination of the software. Nowadays, one third of the manufacturing time is spent on quality assurance testing but there is a clear gap in the tools to address the demands for quality control and assurance.
