Bob Odenkirk is well aware of the popularity of "Better Call Saul"'s mother show, "Breaking Bad," but that did not put any pressure on him at all. In fact, the actor admitted that he has no plan to beat Bryan Cranston's Walter White. He also recently revealed that he is more of a Jimmy McGill than Saul Goodman in real life.

"Better Call Saul" will not be returning until next year, making fans more anxious about how the second season will play out. There have been clamors among fans that "Breaking Bad" stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul should appear in the spinoff, signifying the continuous popularity of Walter White's show.

Even Bob Odenkirk himself knows the impact of their mother series, which introduced him as Saul Goodman to the viewers, but admitted that he thinks "Better Call Saul" should not compete with the success of "Breaking Bad."

As per the report of DNA India, Odenkirk said, "I don't think I have to one-up Walter White or Breaking Bad. We all thought about this show, and the phenomenon of Breaking Bad. Part of it can't be competed with by any show because streaming TV was not a thing when 'Breaking Bad' began, and it was when it ended."

Odenkirk also revealed shared that although he was first known as the sleazy lawyer in "Breaking Bad," he still finds himself more like Jimmy McGill than Saul Goodman since the former is "not living with the world directly and he is suffering for it."

In a report by Call Saul Now, the actor also confessed that while starring as Saul Goodman on the hit AMC series, he preferred not to watch the early parts of the show since he did not want his children to see the meth cooking and dead drug dealers on the series.

"Better Call Saul" season 2 release date is yet to be announced but fans are expecting for an early 2016 premiere on AMC.
