The national leader in solar water heating financing and installation, Skyline Innovations Inc., has announced that it has closed US$2 million in mezzanine financing to provide funds for its current expansion programs.

Leading the investment is CCM US LLC, an asset management group based in Washington DC that invests in clean energy and real estate. Other co-investors are DC Community Ventures, a venture capital fund that focuses on community development for DC metro companies.

The investment would help Skyline's expansion as well as increase its ability to provide communities solar energy sources as well as employment for the community in construction and project management.

According to Josh Green, the Managing Director for Energy at CCM said, "Skyline Innovations is a leader in bringing the benefits of clean energy to commercial buildings and we are excited to support the company's continued expansion. Skyline's innovative business model overcomes many of the barriers that limit clean energy deployment in the commercial real estate sector; their solution makes economic sense for property owners while simultaneously benefitting the environment."
