ABC announced in Good Morning America nine of the twelve professional dancers who are out to battle on the dance floor to take home the Mirror Ball trophy. ABC also names Jullianne Hough, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba as judges in preparation for DWTS Season 21' premiere on September 14.

The first in the roster of  professional dancers is last season's Mirror Ball trophy winner Val Chmerkovskiy. Deena Katz, DWTS's casting director, told E! as reported by Latin Post that Chmerkovskiy texted her that he needed another one and he needed to do it again (it refers to winning the Mirror Ball trophy again).

Another close contender of the Mirror Ball trophy is 13th Season winner, Karina Smirnoff. Smirnoff has been in the show for ten years but has left DWTS last season due to an injury and a personal decision of trying other careers particularly writing and acting. While out from DWTS, Smirnoff authored her book, We're Just Not That Into You: Dating Disaster from the Trenches and went out in the movie Tango Shalom according to US Magazine. Smirnoff returns to DWTS this season after she admits that she misses dancing and she misses the show.

Another persistent professional dancer in the roster is Derek Hough. Hough, though hasn't won the Mirror Ball trophy yet, landed fourth last season. Rob told E!, as written by Latin Post, that Hough is very engaged and he anticipates Hough's participation in the show.

Aside from Chmerkovskiy, Smirnoff and Hough, Mark Ballas, Artem Chigvintsev, Allison Holker, Sharna Burgess, Peta Murgatroyd and Witney Carson are added in the roster. The three other professional dancers are yet to be announced but ABC News confirmed that the celebrity cast will be made known on September 2 on GMA.

The battle for the Mirror Ball trophy begins on September 14 as DWTS airs its two-hour premiere and the first elimination on September 22 on ABC.
