Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 to hit market this month in two variants; Top specs are Iris scanner, Android 5.1, and 3GB RAM

Last July, Samsung has announced the new Galaxy Tab S2 and now it's expected to arrive soon and hit the retail stores this month. The device will arrive in 9.7″ (168.8 x 237.1 x 5.5mm) and an 8.0″ (134.5 x 198.2 x 5.5mm) models.

The PC Advisor reported that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is not pretty as thin as leaked evidence provided. The Galaxy Tab S2 flagship will reportedly just come in 5.6mm thick with  (8.0) model having 265g and the other  (9.7) model with 389g. This still comes astoundingly slim though with the preceding models at 6.6mm.

A statement from the President of Samsung Mobile, JK Shin said that the Galaxy Tab S2 also boasts its ability to provide users quick, easy access to a wealth of greater viewing and yield features aside from being the thinnest and lightest tablet. The President also said that they believe the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 serves as the most complete personal visual device intended for consumers to use and carry anywhere, Christiantoday wrote.

As for more of its specifications, the Galaxy Tab S2 is reportedly using an Exynos Octa-core processor. It also includes four cores clock in at 1.9GHz and the other four clocks in at 1.3GHz. Additionaly, it is 64-bit, but the problem is that the firmware at the moment is not being supported in it. In terms of its storage department, a 3GB of RAM together with the options 32GB and 64GB are said to include on the flagship, reports techaeris.

Furthermore, the forthcoming Galaxy Tab S2 said sporting a MicroSD card slot too, where it supports up to 128GB. The 9.7″ model is reported to keep its lights on by a 5,870mAh battery and the 8.0″ model of a 4,000mAh battery. This will let the users to get 10 hours of video playback even if it comes with a low battery size. Both variants said feature a fingerprint scanner, and it runs on Android 5.1 out of the box.

Other information from PC Advisor says that an 8Mp back camera, 2.1Mp selfie camera, 11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GNSS and optional 4G LTE were reported included in the device also. The 9.7″ version has reportedly cost around $499 while the 8.0″ version comes only at $399. The latest Galaxy Tab S2 will reportedly come in Black, White, and Champagne Beige color options.
