Sam Mendes spilled that "Spectre" is only the beginning of the story of James Bond. The film will reveal the origin tale beyond "Casino Royale" and "Skyfall;" and how Bond became "Bond."

Mendes has recently spoken about the James Bond "Spectre" movie. He said that while this is his last outing behind the scenes for the superspy, it is in fact only the beginning of the story of James Bond. Mendes revealed that James Bond's "Spectre" will finally provide background for a character that has lacked it during fifty years. "Casino Royale" started to delve deeper into the reason why Bond behaves the way he does. He stated: "Bond has been rebooted at the end of the movie; this is only the beginning of the story."

Directed by Sam Mendes, the upcoming film will be featuring two-time Academy Award winner Christoph Waltz as the mysterious villain Franz Oberhauser. But speculation is swirling among longtime fans of the saga that he is really playing the infamous Bond arch-nemesis Ernst Stavro Blofeld, the head of terrorist organization "S.P.E.C.T.R.E."

French actress Lea Seydoux ("Blue is the Warmest Color") and the ageless Monica Bellucci are the new Bond girls. They are on board to play Doctor Madeleine Swann and Lucia Sciarra respectively. The returning cast includes Ralph Fiennes as the new M., Naomie Harris as Ms. Moneypenny and Ben Whishaw as Q.

Meanwhile, Daniel Craig made a special visit to the heart of the Swiss watchmaking industry for the inauguration of the OMEGA factory. He has witnessed the production of the limited edition Omega Seamaster 300 "Spectre" watch. It is the same model worn by the James Bond 007. Each watch is engraved with the serial number on the back along with the Spectre film logo. The watch is powered by the Omega Master Co-Axial caliber 8400. This timepiece will be limited to 7,007 pieces and will be available in select boutiques in September.

Fans can expect "Spectre" to delve deep into the murky backstory of one James Bond when it opens in the US on November 6 and in the UK on October 26.
