Newer and more interesting information are being announced by Electronic Arts (EA), the developer of Star Wars:  Battlefront, as its much-anticipated game is nearing its release on November 17.  Initially, as announced in its official site, there would be 5 multiplayer game modes of the Battlefront.  But things changed, and 4 were added up in the lineup.

According to PS4Daily, although there are said to be 9 multiplayer game types, only 5 are known as of date:  Supremacy Mode, Fighter Squadron, a co-op mode, Walker Assault, and Blast.  It is expected that as the release date is getting closer, more specifics regarding this will be disclosed by EA DICE.

During the Disney D23 Expo, EA kicked off by brandishing one of the game's multiplayer mode called the Fighter Squadron.  This is yet to be the most talked about Battlefront mode, as it engages the most number of players in a dog fight through the skies flying off in X-Wings and TIE Fighters.

Supremacy would be the leading game mode.  Inquisitr detailed briefly how it can be played:  Two teams will fight for areas on the map. The team that gains and holds the most areas on the map will win the game.  The biggest maps and vehicles would be featured here in this mode.

On the other hand, the developers' intent while creating the Battlefront was not to include a single-player option.  And not to mention that "few people actually play the single-player on these kind of games...(and) that's where the data points to," exclaimed by EA COO Peter Moore.

It had also been clear from the start while the game was being developed that, as its name dictates, would be a multi-player game.  This would upset those who are adept as single players, but here in Battlefront engaging in battles out in the galaxy and on land can only be done by several players, period.

Star Wars:  Battlefront will be released on November 17 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
