Project X Zone 2: Brave New World US Launching in Fall; A Total 40 Playable Crossover Characters Now Confirmed by Bandai Namco

Bandai Namco has officially confirmed that the fun and exciting Project X Zone 2: Brave New World game set to release on Nintendo 3DS in November adds seven more characters, six of which are returning from the original title and a new one is making a debut in the game. 

These new characters have been confirmed based on a new set of screenshots that were posted by the Japanese magazine Famitsu on its official website last week. Bandai Namco Entertainment features additional playable characters to appear in the much awaited 3DS title, Project X Zone 2: Brave New World. These are the following:

  • Chun-Li from Street Fighter
  • Ling Xiaoyu from Tekken
  • Demitri Maximoff from Darkstalkers
  • Morrigan Aensland from Darkstalkers
  • Pai Chan from Virtual Fighter
  • Hibana from Nightshade
  • and Alisa Illinichina Amiella from God Eater 2

Six of the abovementioned characters have been featured in the first title and make their return in the next entry to the franchise while Hibana from Nightshade wil appear for the first time. A month ago, Bandai Namco Entertainment confirmed a total of 37 new and returning playable characters in Project X Zone 2: Brave New World.

Anime News Network wrote that like the original title, the second installment features crossover of characters from various Bandai Namco Entertainment, Sega, and CAPCOM franchise games developed by Monolith Software Inc. Project X Zone 2: Brave New World will reportedly enable gamers to "maneuver characters into position and perform strategic attacks using different combinations in real time."

The first title which was a simulation role-playing game released for Nintendo 3DS included over 50 playable crossover characters from 29 CAPCOM, Sega, and Namco Bandai Games franchise titles like Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Vampire (Darkstalkers), Street Fighter, Megaman, Virtua Fighter, Shining Force EXA, Tales of Vesperia, Tekken, Xenosaga, Valkyria Chronicles, Sakura Wars, Space Channel 5, Dynamite Deka (Die Hard Arcade), Resonance of Fate, God Eater, and Super Robot Wars Original Generation, and many more, Geek Snack wrote. 

Project X Zone 2: Brave New World is bound to hit 3DS consoles in Japan on November 12 and will be launched across Europe region in early 2016. As announced earlier, fans in North America will be able to get their hands on this all-new Nintendo offering around fall season which could be around same time or shortly after official release in Japan.
