"Penny Dreadful" Season 3 has been confirmed and according to new casting update, new characters will be introduced in the upcoming season. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde are rumored to be featured in the show's new episodes although there has been no details yet as to who will play these classic characters.

In a report by Youth Health, showrunner John Logan revealed the possible introduction of the new characters and said that after two years, he will be adding another famous literary character. He did not give away any information as to which character will be featured but fans have guessed that it's either Dr. Jekyll or Mr. Hyde.

Logan also talked about Eva Green and Josh Hartnett's characters falling in love in "Penny Dreadful" Season 3. He shared that they are both fascinating characters as they are in a dark and desolate place. He continued to tease, "The idea of two characters in need coming together and trying to find some grace or some lightness in the various curses that surround them was obviously very interesting," Inquisitr reported.

Logan noted that Green and Hartnett work very well together and has this spark that the audiences love. Season 4 will definitely see more of the blooming romance between these two. However, since both of them are in a dark and desolate place, it is expected that their romance will also be dark and is very much likened to the entire theme of the show.

In a report by Carter Matt, Showtime programming head David Nevins shared that although "Penny Dreadful" is already in Season 3, it is just the beginning. He shared that it will be one of the long-running seasons of the series so fans could rejoice about this information.

There has been no date set yet as to when "Penny Dreadful" will be back in the small screen but it is expected to air sometime in May next year.
