Paramount Pictures' parent company revealed that principal filming has wrapped on "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" subtitled "Half Shell," and will start on the post-production.

There was no formal announcement yet but there will be many new additions to the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" cast as well as some alterations to the characters. Popular villains in the comic book versions Bebop, Rocksteady and Casey Jones will be highlighted in the new movie.

Bebop and Rocksteady are employed by shredder to kill the turtles. Villain Krang's daughter, Kirai, will also make an appearance in the film. The addition of the character might also introduce a romance arc in the story.

The character Casey Jones played by Canadian actor Stephen Amell, who is best known for his role as Oliver Queen in popular series "Arrow," will also be different from what fans are familiar with. Like the turtles, Casey Jones is a vigilante. He is a master of stealth. In most installments, he becomes a love interest of April O'Neil.

Megan Fox, Will Arnett, William Fichtner, Alan Ritchson, Noel Fisher Pete Ploszek, Jeremy Howard, and Danny Woodburn will reprise their roles in "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2." Apart from Stephen Amell, the newcomers that will join the franchise are Brian Tee, Brittany Ishibashi, Sheamus, and Gary Anthony Williams. Some players from the Los Angeles Clippers - Austin Rivers, Matt Barnes, DeAndre Jordan, Spencer Hawes, and J.J. Redrick - are also expected to appear on the film. Victoria's Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio has also been cast for a role in the movie.

Hong Kong toymaker ThreeZero has announced its collaboration with the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" co-creator Kevin Eastman on a new line of 12-inch action figures. In an interview with ThreeZero, Eastman explains that around issue numbers five and six of the original Eastman and Laird comics, he has started drawing the turtles a lot more muscular, more traditional superhero stylized look.

He said, "Considering the kinds of stories we were putting them in, it over all made more sense - as they are always training and fighting - that they would become stronger, in look and reality, to do the things they are doing." Eastman also shared that he has designed a fifth turtle named Kirby in the early nineties and he was bigger and stronger than the originals. He wanted to explore that design concept for the special edition series.

Michael Bay is returning to "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" as producer and Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec are coming back as screenwriters and executive producers. Directed by Dave Green, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" will be released on June 3, 2016.
