'The Martian' revealed its latest trailer that showed actor Matt Damon and the rest of the fictional crew of Ares 3 in psychological testing for a preparation by NASA. The film is also slated to screen at the Toronto International Film Festival this September.

According to BGR.com, the upcoming science-fiction film recently released its latest trailer with an interesting take on what would happen in the moments of preparation if an actual human mission to Mars would indeed take place. It featured the fictional Ares 3 crew talking with a NASA tester and evaluator after ten days of isolation.

They recounted their supposed experiences during the preparation period. The article stated that the teaser was released by YouTube channel ARES: live, making it a very unique marketing campaign for the film.

The film is a live-action adaptation of the bestselling book of the same name by author Andy Weir. According to Uproxx, it took several years of hard work and imagination to create his first published novel that is referred to as an 'overnight sensation'.

Before his success in the literary world, he worked a regular day job while doing intensive research for his outrageous story of an astronaut stranded on Mars. He put up the story in sections on his website for free and it eventually gained a steady following. Upon request of his fans, he finally got 'The Martian' published for mainstream consumption.

Not only did the novel gain critical acclaim, it attracted production studio 20th Century Fox for a big-screen adaptation with Ridley Scott on the director's chair. According to Slash Film, it is also scheduled for screening at the upcoming TIFF that runs from September 10-20. It will be joined by several commendable films from around the world including 'Demolition' starring Jake Gyllenhaal.
