Google redesigns Hangouts for Android with Version 4.0 and now rolling out on the Google Play Store. Hangouts 4.0 update improves the interface, and functionality to the floating compose button. Additionally, it integrates support with Android Wear.  

According to official Google blog, Hangouts is now simpler. The new Compose button makes it simpler for the user to add a new group or conversation.  When users press it, the button pops out with user's most recent contacts and pictured several different ways to communicate.  

Google added streamlined contacts list, which helps user to find quickly the right person. Google also highlighted a redesign for images, attachments, stickers, and sharing user location.  

Hangouts is updated with material design, which made it sleeker and faster. Hangouts version 4.0 for Android has a new look and feel. It responds in more intuitive ways every touch and the transitions between tasks are smoother.   

The one of the improvements is in sending attachments. Options that were previously hidden behind a paperclip button are now front-and-center in the message interface.Google is fixing bugs and speeding up message delivery to make Hangouts version 4.0 for Android faster and more reliable. It also lessens battery consumption.

Techspot explains the Hangouts Dialer's Outbound Caller ID feature that users won't be shown as 'unknown' when they call someone via the Hangouts 4.0. Moreover, the ability to receive and reply to group MMS in Hangouts using Google Voice has been added as support for Android Wear. Users can read conversation history, switch accounts, and reply to messages from an Android Watch.  

Hangouts 4.0 is already available on the Play Store. Some users may not yet receive the update on their Android phones because Google is rolling out the upgrade in stages. Google redesigns Hangouts for Android With Version 4.0, which obsessively fix bugs and makes better performance.
