Dragon Age: Inquisition Story-Based DLC Arrives Today, Aug 11; FREE Patch 9 Now Available Adds Dwarven Warrior 'Pala'

Dragon Age Inquisition 'The Descent' is due for release today, August 11 and prior to the launch, Bioware has surprisingly rolled out patch 9 that provides support for the next expansion, adds a new multiplayer character, Pala and offers more fixes.   

A day ahead of Dragon Age Inquisition next story-based DLC, Bioware has surprised the hardcore gamers of this fantasy game with launch of new free title update, Patch 9, which adds silent sister Pala and more items to various platforms, Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Bioware has provided the full details via its official website and also announced via Twitter the coming of the new MP character. .

Inquisitr reports that upon download, fans can now have access to female dwarven warrior Pala. Bioware describes the game's latest multiplayer agent saying, "Patch 9 introduces Pala, the Silent Sister, a new playable multiplayer character. A member of the Silent Sisters of Orzammar, Pala is a zealous dwarven warrior with an unwavering dedication to the art of war. Pala willingly chose exile to join the Inquisition in its perpetual struggle against the enemies of Thedas."

Moreover, on Dragon Age Inquisition official website, Bioware character designer Luke Barrett has introduced Pala as a fighter who is fearless in battle. 

"We nicknamed Pala 'the silent wrecking ball' because her gameplay revolves around using Charging Bull to get into the middle of the fray and then wreaking havoc on all surrounding enemies. She builds guard on each hit, and a lot of her abilities can hit multiple enemies, so you really benefit from being surrounded," Barrett said. 

Dragon Age Inquisition Patch 9 also offers several bug fixes that improve performance to all platforms. More importantly, Mike Laidlaw confirmed that this new update supports The Decent DLC launch to Xbox One, PS4, and PC today, August 11.
