Tech experts pick Xiaomi Mi Note Pro over Samsung Galaxy A8; Here's why

Samsung is not only famous in providing high-end phablets and battling it out with Apple, in every way possible, but they are also known to offer a value for money handsets like the Galaxy A8. On the other hand, they are not the only company that provides the best buy-budget friendly devices.

The stand out among Samsung's competitors on this level is China-based company Xiaomi and its Mi Note Pro.   

A tech website, Neurogaget , is one of the few to give the Samsung Galaxy A8 and the Mi Note Pro a side by side comparison to check who had the most advantage with regards to the features, specs, and other intangibles that these two can offer, and decide who will take the crown. 

After the side by side comparison and careful considerations, the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro emerges as the winner due to its numerous advantages against the A8 but one of the biggest was its price.

Samsung's Galaxy A8, according to GSM Arena, was released in May 2015 and is running on Android 5.0.1 operating system. It has a 5.7-inch screen with 1440x2560 pixels. The phablet was built in Corning Gorilla Glass 3 back panel and is equipped with dual sim capabilities.

Under the hood, the phablet has a Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 and its CPU is a quad core 1.5GHz Cortex-A53 and quad core 2GHz-A57. It also has 64MB GB in memory and has 4GB RAM.

The front snapper is at 13MP with optical image stabilization, autofocus, and dual LED flash features. Samsung Galaxy A8 also has the QuickCharge feature that claims to charge the phone's battery at 60% in just 30 minutes.

On the other hand, the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro is also a c phablet that runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The phone's resolution is slightly lower at 1080x1920 pixels but boasts the Super AMOLED technology, Phone Arena published. 

Xiaomi Mi Note Pro's primary camera is 3MP better than Samsung at 16MP with face detection, smile detection, digital zoom, voice activation, autofocus, and touch to focus as well as Geo-tagging features.

The Mi Note Pro runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 8939 and has a built-in storage of 32 GB. However, unlike the Samsung A8, the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro is equipped with a misroSD slot for bigger and larger capacity.

In terms of price, The Galaxy A8 is at $515 while the Mi Note Pro is at $480. Also, Xiaomi released the phablet in July this year which basically makes the Mi Note Pro newer than Samsung A8.
