One of the leading service providers, Sprint, has announced that they are rolling out the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

The news was made on an on-air advertisement, so Galaxy Note 4 users under Sprint should wait for the official announcement through their phone's notification screen for the official release of the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update, Android GS reported.

Once the update is available, according to the report, an official changelog will appear on the Galaxy Note 4 when the update is sent by Sprint. The update will also come in stages and will move on until the phone is activated.

Android GS also clarified that modified Galaxy Note 4, in any way, will not be eligible for the 5.1.1 Lollipop update. However, this doesn't mean that the update will never be available for the device, but the owner should find a way to get the update.

Gotta Be Mobile also pointed out that the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update will not have the Stagefright fix, which will make the device protected from the recent scare. The tech website also mentioned that the update, which was officially released in May, will have bug fixes and patch for the many upcoming 5.1 Lollipop update.

After the release of the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update, huge organizations such as Samsung were quick to roll out the update to its users, to prevent them from looking for other devices or services due to the problematic 5.1 update, the report added.

After the update is done, the phone will now bear a new build number N910T3UVU1DOFC, which will indicate that the update is successful, International Business Times cited. The website also provided some tips and tricks for the users to do before doing the update and here are some.

First, all personal data on the device should be properly backed up. Second, the phone should have at least 80 percent of battery life. Third, USB debugging should also be enabled. Fourth, any recovery software, of any kind, or custom ROM should be taken out from the handset.

With this move, Sprint and Android only show how serious they are in treating the Stagefright hack, that is somehow creating a stir in the tech (Android) community, very seriously. This move also shows what type of organizations Sprint and Android are.
